Nitai Mondal, 58years old resident of Dinesh Nagar, Kolkata happens to be a rickshaw puller. He
lives with his wife and son . He earns a meagre amount of Rs 100 /-a day which varies in the lockdown situation as he is working only during the day time.
He is the only bread earner of his family in this lockdown time as his son who is an electrician is not getting any work now.
Initially his wife and son was completely against the idea of him going out amid covid pandemic but he believes it can affect anyone so no point sitting at home which will make him both physically and mentally weak .
He has sacrificed his share of free ration from the local administration which can feed the family of a person for someone who is more needy than him. âThis is my small way of contributing towards the societyâ says this humble and generous man.
âWe are spending a good sum of money for buying sanitizers and soaps,
I wash my face mask with dettol every time I come back home, I also wash my hands rigorously to avoid infecting my familyâ,says Netai.
